Why aerate your pond?
If you have stagnant water, you need to aerate your pond. Aerating the pond creates an environment of healthy nutrients that allow the fish in your pond thrive. The life of the good bacteria and phytoplankton, or the good organisms that survive at the bottom of your pond is extended at the same time. Aeration allows the surface water and fresh oxygen to mix into the water near the bottom of the pond. This ultimately creates a healthier pond atmosphere with less muck and clear, clean water.

Adding a fountain to your pond adds beauty and a pleasant, soothing “running water” sound. In addition, they can help keep your pond clean and healthy by ensuring the water is aerated during warmer months. Fountains help move the flow of the water from the surface to the bottom of the pond. This helps to oxygenate the water. The water flow also helps reduce mosquito population since there is less still water for their eggs to develop. Overall, a pond fountain can be a great tool to help maintain water quality.
We recommend at least a 1/2 HP fountain and we find that the Airmax® EcoSeries Fountain to be an excellent solution for many of our customers.

The EcoSeries Floating Fountain showcases beautiful industry leading spray patterns that outmatch other 3/4 HP and 1 HP fountains. The EcoSeries Fountain operates in as little as 24″ of depth and includes an energy efficient 1/2 HP motor, 3 spray patterns, control panel and comes standard with 100′ of power cord. The EcoSeries Fountain is also available in 150′, 200′, 250′, 300′, 350′ or 400′.
Energy Efficient – The 1/2 HP motor is energy efficient drawing 5.8 Amps, 667 Watts on 115V power. The asynchronous motor, silicon carbide shaft bearing and ceramic shaft are housed in a stainless steel body with suction screen.
Spray Patterns – The EcoSeries Fountain comes standard with 3 spray patterns; Classic, Trumpet and Crown & Trumpet. Premium Nozzles are available in Single Arch, Double Arch and Double Arch & Geyser.
